If you are looking for juicing detox recipes, you'll find some of our favorites here. Detoxing has grown in popularity in recent years and juices are an ideal way to enhance your diet. They are easily absorbed into the body, they provide essential nutrients and best of all - they taste great.
There really are so many different recipes that you can try. These ones will get you started but you can always try out different recipes yourself.
- Carrot and Apple Juice
8 Medium Carrots
2 Apples (ideally Cox's or Braeburns)
Take the fruit and juice together. For an alternative you can add a little bit of root ginger to taste. This will give it a bit of a 'kick'. Carrot and apple juice is one of the most popular juice recipes. The apples have an abundance of pectin, which forms a gel that breaks down toxins in the bowel and protects the gut. Carrot is full of vitamin A and beta-carotene, which can help fight free radicals.
- Mango and Cranberry Juice
1 mango
125g cranberries
1 orange
1tsp Honey
Peel the orange and juice with the cranberries. Peel the mango and remove the stone. Place in a blender with the honey and cranberry and orange juice. Serve over ice. Mangoes are good body cleansers. They are rich in papain, an enzyme that breaks down protein.
- Apple and Lemon Zinger
2 Apples (Golden Delicious)
1/3 of a lemon (wax free if possible)
Ice
Juice the fruit together and pour over the ice. This makes a cool refreshing drink that is packed with goodness. Apples are an excellent detoxifier and can also help to stabilize blood sugar levels.
- Orange and Grapefruit Juice
3 Oranges (Valencia if possible)
1 Large Pink Grapefruit
This is perfect as a breakfast 'wakeup' juice. It is packed with vitamin C, which helps boost the immune system. It also contains beta-carotene and bioflavinoids.
