How to Enhance Your Detoxifying Diet
If you're planning on going on a detoxifying diet, I'm sure that you have planned the food that you're going to be eating. But what are you going to do with the rest of your time? If you want to enhance the effects of your detox, there are a number of things that can be beneficial. These include taking time for yourself, practicing yoga techniques and having a hydrotherapy treatment
Most people that are on a detox diet do it on a weekend or when they have a few days holiday. This gives you the time to concentrate on taking care of yourself. An aromatherapy bath can be prepared by adding essential oils to your bath water. You only need a few drops and the room will be filled with a lovely natural fragrance. Geranium, bergamot and ylang-ylang are popular oils to use.
An effective way to help you relax and remove stress is to practice visualisation techniques. This is a way of relaxing both the body and mind. You don't need any special equipment, just a willingness to try something different.
Making your detox into a combination of diet, relaxation and physical activity will give you the best chance of reaching your goals. You may even find that you enjoy the activities so much that you continue with them even after your detox has ended.
